Welcome to ‘The One’ – where street meets grass. It’s a knockout competition that’s high pressure and no excuses. Can you be ‘The 1’?
DF Coaching is introducing a brand new game with edge to continually help produce and improve the best young footballers around. ‘The One’ is our latest venture, a quarterly event where players battle it out to be number 1 in their age group.
Get ready for three hours of 1v1-style games and a knockout format that gets more intense as it goes. The top 10 will be published, with the winner taking home ‘The One’ trophy and earning a spot in the DF hall of fame.
This event is custom designed for aspiring young football players who want to take their skills from the street to the pitch. It’s all part of the DF ethos and Head Coach Dan Fowler’s commitment to producing dominant ball players who can meet the demands of the modern game.
THE RULES
- 24 Start out, divided into 3 separate groups.
- In each group, every player plays each other in a series of 1v1 games to reach the Knockout Stage.
- In the end, there’ll only be ‘one’ player left; ‘The 1’.
Knocked out too soon?
Don’t worry, there’ll only ever be ‘The 1’, but there’ll be rounds of next-best to complete a Top 10 Leaderboard. So there’s plenty of football action for ‘every-one’.
